Baldur’s Gate 3 Strategy Information – Tips on how to change parties in-game

In today’s post, I will give you Baldur’s Gate 3 strategy information – useful tips on how to change your party in-game.

If you happen to meet a few companions in Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ll soon reach your party limit. Unfortunately, we cannot march in large groups. You can travel in a party of four, including the player character, so you’ll have to decide which three of your lucky friends will be yours. It’s always good to have someone with a skill like Darkvision in your party. This allows you to see in the dark, which is obviously very useful. It’s also a good idea to include people with healing and protection skills, perception, or dexterity. Fill all the locks to find cool stuff!

You can change your party often enough depending on your thoughts or objections. Or, if you’re simply bored with your companions or want to gain the approval of a specific person, here’s how to swap out party members.

How to change party in Baldur’s Gate 3

When you encounter companions in the wild, you are given the option to recruit them for your purposes.

If there is enough free space, he will immediately join your party. If your party is full and you meet a new companion, you can ask them to wait at the campsite. You can choose not to recruit people, but honestly, why not just ask people to join your party? Go and join the strange brothers who didn’t recruit Garrus in Mass Effect.

To set up a camp, click the campfire icon to the right of your character bar. You can then go to camp or take a long or short rest. You can go to camp and swap parties at any time without actually having to rest. At the camp, you can interact with your companions, start new quest lines with them, and most importantly, swap out party members by asking them to stay behind. If a character glows blue, it means they are already in the party, while green means they can join if there is space.

You can only fill the empty spaces in your party by meeting new companions in the wild or setting up camp again. This is a welcome change from previous Baldur’s Gate games, where you could lose your companions for hours if they moved to a certain location and forgot where they were. Knowing that they will all show up at camp if you tell them to go there is a welcome change in quality of life.
